Human-first systems, strange songs, and useful trouble.

I build secure software, AI governance ideas, old-computer tools, music projects, and community-centered systems for people who would rather fix things than perform seriousness.

Who I am, without the corporate fog.

I am a cybersecurity and AI systems builder, musician, martial artist, old-computer enthusiast, and stubborn believer that complicated things should still be understandable.

I have spent my career building systems that have to work when the stakes are real: cloud security, infrastructure, automation, governance, product architecture, and the messy connective tissue between people, tools, risk, and consequences.

Outside the corporate machinery, I build music, old-computer projects, martial arts community, weird software, game systems, and human-first arguments against war, dehumanization, and lazy thinking.

Official identity

Official site of Rick Collette / Richard A. Collette.

Cybersecurity and AI systems builder. Enterprise architecture and cloud security person. Musician. Martial artist. Creator of software, music, and community projects.

My brain often has the whole map before it has the sentence.

My opinions are mine. They do not represent my employer, my coworkers, my clients, my martial arts family, or any organization I am connected to.

What makes me tick

How I think.

Secure systems.

Cloud security, AI governance, automation, architecture, and tools that help people understand risk before it becomes a disaster.

Creative machines.

Music projects, audio tools, old-computer experiments, game systems, and strange little machines that exist because curiosity would not shut up.

Human-centered communities.

Martial arts, teaching, mentorship, and practical community work built around discipline, kindness, resilience, and showing up.

Useful trouble.

I like systems that solve real problems, art that tells the truth sideways, and tools that make people more capable instead of more dependent.

Layered thinking.

I usually see the big picture first: the people, the goal, the risk, the architecture, the incentives, and the long-term consequences. Then I build down into the details.

Visible artifacts.

Whiteboards, diagrams, written specs, graphs, models, prototypes, and working systems make the invisible thing visible.

🧰

Technology

Security systems, AI governance, infrastructure utilities, game worlds, and the future-tech map of where I think things are headed.

🎧

Music

Songs for the doomed, the bored, the kind, and the dangerously overdressed. Serious, ridiculous, usually both.

🥋

Martial Arts

Kajukenbo, Kenpo, Ordonez Ohana, backyard teaching, self-defense at the core, and confidence without fake tough-guy theater.

🛡️

Cybersecurity & AI

Secure architecture, AI governance, prompt injection, SecOps search, production-grade controls, and no fake checkbox security.

🌍

I Heart People

A hard-edged humanist stance for ordinary people, cultural difference, peace, accountability, and against systems that make human beings disposable.
