Stable Finding Fingerprint

Stable Finding Fingerprint. A deterministic marker that lets recurring evidence resolve to the same finding, issue, decision, or remediation record across repeated scans. It prevents every run from creating a new copy of the same fact.

The GitLab security-scanner README shows the concept in miniature: each distinct scanner finding gets a hidden fingerprint marker so later scans update the existing GitLab issue instead of creating duplicate issues for the same underlying evidence.
