Durable Work Record. The authoritative truth-plane record that a unit of work exists, what it is for, who or what owns it, when it is due, what state it is in, and which effect it may produce. A durable work record is the thing a worker can rediscover after queues, locks, timers, or caches vanish.
Durable work records keep eventual work from becoming folklore. Queues and leases may accelerate dispatch, but recovery, approval, retry, idempotency keys, and audit need a durable record to consult before work is executed or declared complete.
